Richard TILAND, Professional Spa Consultant
Richard Tiland, brings several years of professional experience to the luxury spa industry. Richard’s expertise encompasses business plans, business development and sales, product training and presentations, unique marketing plans, and short and long range strategic planning.
Richard’s professional experience in the beauty industry is diverse. He held his first professional position in office management and customer relations with an upscale five star salon, Gene Juarez, in Seattle, Washington. It was in this role that he learned the essentials of running a successful salon and providing excellent customer service.
Next, Richard was a Sales Representative for Kenneth Cole and then a Counter Manager in the skin care division at Nordstrom. These positions furthered his knowledge of legendary customer service and enhanced his expertise in skin care products and make up application.
It was Richard’s employment with La Jolla Spa MD that took his career to the next level. As Product Development Director and the CEO’s protege, Richard provided high-level support and operations management to this leading medical spa. Richard developed a strategic plan for the company that helped grow their customer base and brought brand recognition to the spa. He also served as a skilled public relations representative for the company, developing materials for press releases highlighting the spa’s services and products and participating in appearances with the CEO on local and national networks such as KUSI, FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS. Richard also coordinated numerous fashion shows, client seminars and product launches. During his tenure, sales revenue increased by 50% attributing to American Spa Magazine naming La Jolla Spa MD the “Best Medical Spa in America.”
Most recently, Richard served as the Western Regional Director of Dragonfly Spa Import Luxury Products, where he increased business by 20% in his first six months of employment and is responsible for securing several new accounts with some of the west coast’s most prestigious spas.

Maria Ivanova is Master of Law, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". She is Director of the "Tourism Policy" at the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism. The main functions of the Directorate are: developing a strategy for tourism development and short-term concepts and programs; coordinate with other agencies the establishment of standards for the construction of special tourist infrastructure; coordinates the integration of tourism with other sectors of the Bulgarian economy.

Imad BARRAKAD
Imad Barrakad has been chairman of the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Development (SMIT) since 2011. Prior to joining SMIT he was head of sales and marketing at the Moroccan National Office of Electricity, an experience which equipped him with excellent and wide-ranging field knowledge. Mr. Barrakad has global experience in project management and financial planning. In the past few years he has also had extensive interest and involvement in social marketing as well as project development. Mr. Barrakad is an industrial engineer and has a master’s degree in project management.
The president of Medical SPA Association of Serbia, the professor of "wellness programs" on Basic studies and "Health tourism" in advanced studies VZSSS Beogradu. Her fields of interest: Forest medicine in programs of medical tourism, the Balkans wellbeing concept and promotion of healthy lifestyles . She is Co-author of two books: "Guide to Wellness" in 2006 and "Wellness in Serbia", 2010.
